Today we
first checked with teacher Yerlin the answers of the listening test.
In groups
of three we made a conversation about our favorite movies and then we worked on
the blue book unit 13 we read the snapshot 1 which is about a movie trivia with
interesting data like actors and actress any role of the movie, the cost and
the money it made, curious things that happen during the films and how long
time they spend to film. After in groups we made a conversation of the
following questions under that movie trivia: “Which of the movie trivia do you
find most interesting?”, “Do you know any other movie trivia?”, “Which of the
movies have you seen? Did you enjoy them?”.
Using the
previous topics movies and them we made a vs with the books to use the Participle as adjectives which is the
use of Present Participles when we
talk about movies, books or even things e.g. “Stephen King’s books are fascinating” here we use the verbing,
and we use the Past Participles when
we talk about actors or persons e.g. “I’m bored
by watching television” here we use the -ed.
Later we made and complete the list with synonyms for “Awful, Wonder, Stupid
and Strange” they are very useful to describe movies, after that we made a guess
the actress, actor or movie activity by reading a description.
Later we
worked on a grammar focus of Relative
pronouns for people and things using who
or that for people and which or that for things e.g. in people “He’s an actor who/that often plays unusual
characters” and for things “It’s a movie which/that
starts Leonardo DiCaprio.” Then we listened to two critics talk about a new
movie and we completed the chart from 1 to 3 on Acting, Story, Music and
Special Effects also the stars rate that both gave. The final activity in the
book was a reading comprehension and we sort some sentences by sequence order
using the numbers from 1 (first event) to 9 (Last event) also in the activity
below we write the number to the sentences of the paragraph that they belong.
And finally
teacher Yerlin gave us some sheets with two topics the first one was “The Road
to Resilience” and the second “10 Tips to Achieve Anything You Want in Life”
and she want that we read both, made an conceptual map and then made a
conversation in groups for each one.
