Introduction
A healthy diet is one of the main factors of promotion and maintenance
of good health throughout lifetime. An inadequate diet is one of the main risk
factors for the development of hypertension, hyperglycemia, dyslipidemia,
overweight or obesity, and the main non-communicable diseases (NCD), such autoimmune
diseases, strokes, most heart diseases, most cancers, diabetes, chronic kidney
disease, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, Alzheimer's disease, cataracts.
Currently, mostly of the people don’t know how to eat healthy because they
don’t have the knowledge and the habit to eat the correct food, they also
prefer eat junk food. Poor nutrition includes malnutrition and excessive
feeding, Poor nutrition is also characterized by a lack of various essential
micronutrients in the diet, in particular iron, folic acid, iodine and vitamin
A.
Body
A poor nutrition, in any of its forms, presents considerable risks
for the human health. Malnutrition contributes to about one third of all deaths
children's the growing rates of overweight and obesity around the world are associated
with an increase in NCDs.
The increase of overweight and obesity worldwide reaches pandemic
figures and constitutes one of the main challenges for public health. People of
all ages and conditions face this type of poor nutrition, as a result of which
are triggering, even in developing countries, diseases related to the diet.
There are various elements and factors, which are indispensable to
living beings. The food, for its essential and continuous condition is one of
them. This constitutes a sequence of voluntary and conscious acts that goes
from planning, production, selection, preparation, processing and ingestion of
food. These acts are susceptible to be modified by the action of external
influences,
educational, cultural and economic.
It has been suggested that in order to maintain an adequate
nutritional status of the individuals and the community, the interrelation of a
series of factors is necessary such as: food availability, access to them and
their consumption. This process or phenomenon is known as food security, and
aims to provide the organism the nutritive substances necessary for life, which
means that the
health will depend, to a large extent, on the foods that are
ingested. The food is the fundamental category in that process, so that
"food" is understood as the substances present in nature, of chemical
structure more or less complex, that carry the nutrients. Example: meats,
bread, milk, cheese, banana, potatoes, guava and others.
The alimentary phenomenon is a set of involuntary and unconscious
processes that comprise digestion, absorption, translocation, distribution and
subsequent use of the categories
nutrients contained in food. Unlike food, these processes obey
physiological laws, and are unlikely to be modified by external influences. The
nutritional categories are constituted by nutrients
or nutrients, which are groups of chemicals needed to maintain the
structural and functional integrity of all the parts that make up a system biological.
Example: amino acids, fatty acids, monosaccharides, vitamins and minerals.
Conclusion
A healthy diet is the key for a good functionality of our body, because
our body needs essential chemicals and substances to boost our immune system preventing
diseases, issues inside our body systems, healing wounds and also for the
correct growth and develop of our body, but nothing of this is possible is we
don’t start right now to eat healthy creating a diet rich in minerals and
vitamins and if we don’t cut eating junk food and combine it with physics
exercise to get better results.
